The four, Inspector Sammy Cherogony, Corpral Maurice Mwakachora, Constable Fozia Hallake and Constable Adan Mohamed were apprehended following investigations into numerous complaints from members of the public.

According to EACC the officers were observed for several days extorting money from motorists and members of the public.

The officers were escorted to EACC Integrity Centre Police Station where they were processed.

They were later booked at Kilimani Police Station where they will be held pending arraignment.
