Munishi's Song Warning African Leaders to Fear US Trends after Ruto's State Visit.

Munishi's song "Msiabudu Amerika" warns African leaders and spiritual leaders to read the finer clauses of the deals they sign with the West, claiming that such deals are enticing but also selfish in some ways.

In his piece, Munishi mentions leaders whose dalliance with the West brought them both fame and misfortune at the same time Ruto's visit to the US ended with the president signing deals worth billions, among them the Usahihi Nairobi-Mombasa Expressway project, which is set to be constructed at KSh 471 billion.

Following the highly publicized visit of President William Ruto to the US, singer and preacher Faustin Munishi has been popular on social media.

Munishi: Worship God alone Snippets of his popular song "Msiabudu Amerika" have flooded video reels on Facebook, YouTube, Instagram, and TikTok.

In his song, Munishi delivers a powerful message encouraging listeners to focus on worshiping God alone, rather than material possessions, fame, or worldly idols. The song hammers its message directly to African leaders who, according to Munishi, risk losing their independence and sovereignty if they don't read between the lines whenever they seek help from the US in the form of donations and investments. "Ukiwaona wajifanya marafiki, jua wameshaiona dhahabu...Kama sio mafuta, ni almasi...Mifano ni mingi ya kuotosha, Kama sion Iraq, ni Congo, Sierra Leone...wote Marekani wahusika inadai inalinda masilahi. Nawaonya viongozi Africa...Amerika sio wakucheza nao. (When you see them pretending to be friends, know they have already seen the gold... If it's not oil, it's diamonds... There are plenty of examples, if it's not Iraq, it's Congo, Sierra Leone... all the characters involved claim they are protecting their interests," Munishi sings.

The singer then directs his lash at religious leaders, who he accuses of also receiving aid from US operatives. Instead of focusing on the main objective of their calling, they become puppets of whoever donates to them. "Many preachers here in Africa have stopped relying on God... Foreign aid from America has become their god," the song continues in part.

Ruto's visit to the US On May 20, President Ruto travelled to the US for a state visit where he met with his US host Joe Biden and commemorated 60 years of bilateral relationships between Kenya and the US. Among the highlights was the multi-billion shilling deal to construct the Nairobi-Mombasa Expressway, dubbed Usahihi Expressway. The Kenya National Highways Authority (KeNHA) inked a KSh 471 billion deal with US-based private equity Everstrong Capital LLC to commence construction, which will take 3-4 years.
