Taking Action to improve the Mental Health of People who are Victims of Violence (France)

The AÉSIO Foundation has announced a call for proposals, entitled “Acting to protect the mental health of people who are victims of violence”.

Objectives

  • Based on this context, the ambition, within the AÉSIO Foundation for this call for projects, is therefore to support projects and initiatives for awareness, prevention and/or providing psychological support to people who are victims of violence. This, whatever the environment and the type of violence suffered.
  • In order to guarantee the safety of those supported, only projects developed and supervised by at least one mental health professional will be eligible.
  • These may be known methods, training projects, innovative projects, including methods applied by people who do not have a psychologist diploma or of doctor.

Funding Information

  • The financial support provided will be formalized within a sponsorship agreement. The winners must therefore necessarily be eligible for sponsorship and able to issue receipts for donations.
    • The envelope available for the project selection session is 700,000 euros.
    • The number of projects supported will be between two (minimum) and eight (maximum).
    • The winning projects may be supported for 1, 2 or 3 years.
    • The winning projects will be offered, if necessary, individualized support for impact measurement by a service provider chosen by the AÉSIO Foundation.
    • The projects presented must necessarily involve and be supervised by at least one mental health professional.

Duration of the Partnership

  • It is possible to submit a grant request as part of a partnership of one, two or three years.

Geographic Scope

  • Projects in France. Projects of national scope, or part of a spin-off dynamic, will be favored.

Eligibility Criteria

  • To be eligible, the project must meet the following criteria:
    • Organizations concerned: non-profit organizations, eligible for sponsorship.
    • To be eligible for the sponsorship regime, the organization must be considered to be of general interest with regard to the tax instructions which consider that:
      • the organization acts in an area of general interest (articles 200 and 238 bis of the general tax code list the areas considered to be of general interest);
      • its management is disinterested;
      • its activities are not lucrative from a tax perspective;
      • it does not work for the benefit of a restricted circle of people
      • You are strongly recommended to check your eligibility for sponsorship.
