Kitui - Congregants at a church in Kitui and a section of residents have been left in disbelief after their esteemed preacher was found involved in criminal activity. 

The report further revealed that the deceased man of God was found in possession of a toy pistol, a sharp double-edged sword, and a counterfeit police radio. Kitui pastor, wife arrested after death of worshipper Ikutha sub-county police commander Paul Omollo said five family members had been detained following the sudden demise of a Form Three student at Mikongooni mixed secondary school in Kitui county. The student's lifeless body was found dumped by the roadside near a pastor's residence a day after the student was reported missing.

After the discovery, the investigating officers apprehended the pastor, his wife, and three children, linking them to the murder case of the young woman, who also happens to be one of their worshippers.

The body showed piercing bite marks on her face and hands, indicating she had fought with her attackers and had a severe wound on the back of her head from a blunt object.

Initial inquiries suggest that the wife and the three children assisted the pastor in getting rid of the body following the murder, utilizing the family motorcycle.
