Amazon Web Services (AWS) has unveiled its AI Ready initiative in Kenya in a bid to foster digital skills development and democratise access to technology education.

This programme aims to equip two million Kenyans with essential artificial intelligence (AI) skills by 2025 through free training in various AI disciplines.

Speaking at the Connected Africa Summit 2024 in Nairobi, Robin Njiru, Amazon Web Services' regional lead for the public sector in Sub-Saharan Africa, emphasised AI's transformative potential.

Participants will have access to a wide range of resources, including online courses, hands-on labs, and webinars, all provided free of charge by AWS.
