31 new hotels coming up in Kenya this year

The Ministry of Tourism noted there was a 31.5% rise in visitor arrivals in Kenya from 1.48 million in 2022 to 1.95 million in 2023

The Ministry of Tourism noted there was a 31.5% rise in visitor arrivals in Kenya from 1.48 million in 2022 to 1.95 million in 2023 

A new report has shown that 31 new hotels will enter the Kenyan market in 2024, adding 4,268 rooms, indicating that the tourist and hospitality sectors are continuing to rebound amid the country's rising visitor numbers.

Source: Twitter According to the Hotel Chain Development Pipeline Africa study from the W Hospitality Group, this will represent an increase from the 25 new units established in 2023.

Dusit International of Thailand reopened the 100-room Dusit Princess Residences Westlands, and Cowrie Shell Residences, a 15-room property in Mombasa, was launched by CityBlue's c3. Kwetu Nairobi and the Curio Collection by Hilton, both situated in the Gigiri neighbourhood of the city, are among the hotels in the pipeline.
