Thrillseeker Winnie Mbesa recently escaped the hustle and bustle of Nairobi city life and immersed herself in the tranquil beauty of Lamu She found the perfect guide in sailor Omar Lali, who took her through the hidden gems while regaling her with tales of the island's past.

Sailing in Lamu is therapeutic According to her, it was a captivating adventure filled with breathtaking beauty and captivating stories, all under the watchful eye of the setting sun. 

The experience was even more beautiful because sailor Omar Lali guided the businesswoman. Winnie disclosed that anticipation filled the air as she boarded the traditional Mozambican dhow, leaving the bustling Shela Village behind. "Lali is a great captain and sailor, accentuated by the fact that he embodies years of wisdom," she praised. 

Armed with a bottle of Baccolo Apassimento Rosso Veneto, a rich red wine, Winnie eagerly anticipated the magic that awaited them. With every sip of the velvety wine, Winnie felt transported to a world where time stood still. She says Lali's stories breathed life into the ancient structures across the island, revealing the coastal gem's rich history and diverse cultures. Winnie discloses that Lali recounted tales of seafaring traders, intrepid explorers, and great adventurers, every word igniting his passion for Lamu.
